Student Ministry

Junior High groups meet on Sunday evenings from 6:30-8:30pm, and High School groups meet Wednesday evenings from 6:30-8:30pm. Because we know you might be bring a student from practices, or dropping another student off at church for Sunday/Wednesday Night gatherings, groups will always start 15 minutes late and end 15 minutes early.

All student community groups meet in homes of our Student Ministries families or volunteers. Meeting in homes is a value for us because of the highly relational and hospitable environment it creates.

Junior High Groups are organized by grade level and gender (example: 6th Grade Girls, 7th Grade Guys, etc.) and High School Groups are organized by grade level, but break off into gender-specific groups in separate areas of the home for discussion time.

We have a team of awesome adult volunteers who love Jesus and love serving students. They have been background checked, interviewed, trained and personally onboarded by the Student Ministries team. We love our community group leaders and could not do groups without their heart for leading them. Adult leaders commit to leading a specific grade-level and gender for at least one school year, and our prayer is that their schedules would allow them to continue on with their students as they move up grades.

Unfortunately, no. It is our prayer that students would grow in community with their peers and leaders in their specific grade-level.

Once you fill out the form, we will place your student in a group and their leader will reach out with details about the group. If you have any questions about a specific group before you fill out the form, feel free to email us at students@hillsidechurches.com.

Student Community Groups are for students who desire to grow deeper in their faith alongside peers and leaders, so our ask is that they attend consistently in order to do so. If your student has to miss every once in a while, that is okay, but we do ask that you make sure they’re able to attend most weeks before filling out the interest form.
