Giving at Hillside is not transactional. It is theological.

Why We Give
Participation – God is a giver, and we are invited to join Him.
Every good and perfect gift comes from the Father (James 1:17). When we give, we participate in His work and become more like Him. Generosity is not loss — it is alignment with God’s nature.
Giving is how we:

Peace – God desires peace in every area of our lives — including our finances.
Jesus tells us not to worry about what we will eat, drink, or wear (Matthew 6:25–33). Financial anxiety often reveals misplaced trust. Giving first reorders our priorities and anchors our trust in God’s provision.
Generosity cultivates:

- Contentment over comparison
Joy – God blesses us abundantly so that we can give joyfully.
“God loves a cheerful giver.” (2 Corinthians 9:7)
Giving is not reluctant or coerced. It is willing. Joyful. Overflowing.
Grace-giving is a response to grace-receiving.
Purpose – Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
Jesus teaches that investing in heaven shapes our hearts (Matthew 6:19–21). Giving directs our affections toward eternity. It aligns our resources with God’s mission.

You may view your giving history online. The current year-to-date and prior year contributions are in your giving history.

You may access your official Giving Statement by signing into your account. Click on “profile” in upper right hand corner. Choose My Giving. Scroll down to Statements. Click on the down arrow of the statement you wish to view.

You can edit or delete a scheduled contribution by signing into your account and choosing the schedule you wish to adjust.

When you give with a bank account, the processing fees are lower than when you give with a credit card. However, the funds will take longer to get to your church (3-5 business days). You will have to verify that you own the bank account. When you donate using a bank account the first time, your account is saved to your donor profile, so that you won’t have to verify account ownership every time you give.
