Anyone 18 or older and one year out of high school who has a growing relationship with Jesus, a desire to serve the church, and a willingness to learn is welcome to apply. You do not need previous ministry experience—just a teachable spirit and a heart for serving.

No! While many interns call Hillside home, you do not need to be a current attendee to be considered. We welcome applicants from other churches and Christian communities.

Some ministry areas may offer small stipends or support-raising opportunities, which can be discussed during the interview process.

Semester Internship: 10–20 hours per week with flexible scheduling to accommodate school or work.
Summer Internship: Approximately 25 hours per week from late May through early August. Full participation is expected, so please review your schedule before applying.

Yes! You’ll indicate your preferred ministry areas in the application. During the interview process, we’ll explore your passions, strengths, and desires to help place you where you will thrive and have meaningful impact.

Housing is not provided, but we can help recommend local options or connect you with people in our community who may know of available rooms or short-term rentals.
