Everyone has a story.

Stories of sorrow and pain; of redemption and salvation; of joy and goodness.

And in every story, God is there. We know that He has planned out every moment of our story from the beginning. “Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them.” Psalm 139:16

These stories deserve to be told. By sharing them, whether they are stories of loss or of triumph, we can point others to Christ and tell them about the work He has done in our lives. Our stories are how we find our place in His story.

Which brings us to this -€“ the Hillside Community Church blog! After months of praying and planning, we have set out on this new endeavor of storytelling.

Through this blog, we hope to use new and creative ways to communicate with you, our church body, and share the stories that make up the fiber of our community. As our church grows, this will be a great way to keep you informed and up-to-date on all things Hillside. Our desire is that through this blog, you would see and hear how God is moving in our people, in our building, and in our community.

We’ll share the remarkable stories of life-change that are coming out of Rooted and baptisms.

We’€™ll introduce you to new pastors and staff members, and share ministry updates.

We’ll show photos and tell the stories of our global partners and from mission trips to India, Africa, and more.

We’€™ll provide encouragement and education through guest posts, relevant articles and scripture.

But most importantly, we’€™ll continue to walk through His story together -€“ with grace, with love, and with honesty.

We’re excited to start this journey and watch God meet us in the details. We ask for a little bit of patience and a whole lot of grace as we work out the kinks and get this blog fine-tuned!
