After years of praying and months of planning, our second satellite campus held it’s first preview gathering of Hillside Fontana this past Sunday, June 17.

Held at Falcon Ridge Elementary School, the location of our new Hillside campus, we are so excited to join with the Fontana community as we take our first steps in becoming a multi-site church.

We were honored to have the mayor of Fontana, Mayor Acquanetta Warren, welcome us to the city with open arms and a word of encouragement. We were also thrilled by the support of our Hillside family. More than 150 people gathered with us, ready to be apart of this new adventure and showing us that God is truly on the move in this community.

Members of the tech team graciously gave up their seats as a surplus of newcomers entered the room with excitement. Even the volunteers stood in the back to make space for our guests. According to one of our guest service leaders, Sean Murphy, the volunteers were, “on a whole other level, just excited to be out there!” 

The energy all around was transformational. Even the kids were psyched to be there – they especially loved having easy access to the fun playground. They got to have their own structured time, while the adults experienced the same great worship and the same great message as our campus in Rancho Cucamonga, all at a new location! 

We’re so excited to see how God will move when we venture full-time into this new stage of ministry! But for now, our Fontana team will be back at the Community Center, continuing to gather on Sundays at 10 a.m. in preparation for our soft launch in August. Feel free to join us there, and meet us for prayer at 7 a.m. at Falcon Ridge Elementary School for a powerful time of prayer over Hillside Fontana. Our next preview gathering is Sunday, July 15!
