We’re officially past the holidays. The Christmas decorations have (maybe) been packed away. Kids are back to school. Sports are about to begin. Work commitments have kicked into gear.

And as we prepare to launch ourselves into the winter session of community at Hillside, you might be tempted to listen to the lie: “You don’t need one more thing.”

However, maybe that “one more thing” is actually the “most important thing.” Maybe what lies on the other side of your YES to community is a work of transformation; a deeper level of faith; a richer understanding of God’s word; beautiful and authentic community; a closer relationship with Jesus.

See, here’s the beautiful thing about this program that we at Hillside love so much: Rooted is for us all. God will meet you right where you are. No matter what part of your faith journey you are on, Rooted is the perfect opportunity to learn more about the church and what it means to be a disciple of God.

Over the course of 10 weeks, Rooted introduces participants to the seven rhythms of a disciple found in the early church as described in Acts 2. These spiritual rhythms are a dynamic part of what it means to be a believer and leads to life transformation.For those who are just exploring faith, Rooted reveals who God is and how to live as His disciple. For believers, Rooted refocuses their faith and ignites new passion.

Each week focuses on a different rhythm, such as prayer, serving, sharing your story and more. As the weeks progress, the bond at the table grows and you get to experience the authentic community that God desires.

Whether you find yourself sitting around a table with people you just met for the first time, or you are walking through the experience with long-time friends, God always finds a way to connect and pull together the exact group of people that are meant to encourage and draw closer to one another.
